When the search for the new EPS line up got under way and I started zeroing in on drummer prospects, my clear cut favorite was Susan Renee Richardson, the funk/fusion, groovy, barefoot playing sensation from Southern Maine. Once she was on board, we not only had a solid backbeat, we also now had an adult in the room. So needless to say that when she gave us the news a little while back that she could no longer be a part of the band due to time constraints, it was a definite blow to our momentum. Fortunately, Susan being the ultimate team player, was able to stay on board until we found a replacement making the transition so much smoother. And smooth it was. Sean helped recruit his longtime friend and bandmate, the hard-hitting and dynamic drummer Rob Phaneuf. Without missing a beat, (yeah, cue the eyerolls) Rob came in and nailed the audition, making it unnecessary to look any further. Susan, you will be missed dearly, and although we won't see you behind the kit with us, you will always be part of the EPS family, and a treasured friend. Rob, welcome, brother! It's full speed ahead and I'm excited to say that Eljer P. Sloan will be making our live debut on July 12th. Details to follow!
